Background: Psoriasis is a common skin disease that presents with papulosquamous lesions (scaly papules and plaques) and can have psychological and physical consequences. Due to the anti-inflammatory role of vitamin D, studies have been conducted on the relationship between serum levels of this vitamin and psoriasis. In recent years, conflicting results have been obtained, all of which emphasize the importance of investigating this issue. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between serum 25-hydroxy-vitamin D levels and psoriasis. Methods: We conducted a case-control study with psoriasis patients from Vasei Hospital's dermatology clinic and healthy people from Sabzevar Blood Transfusion Center in Iran. Patients with chronic psoriasis (more than 6 months) aged 18 to 65 years were included in the study regardless of the type of psoriasis. This study had a sample size of 177 people (88 cases, and 89 controls). The data collection methods were a questionnaire and blood samples. In both groups, the amount of 25-hydroxy-vitamin D was measured by ELISA method. Results: This study recruited 177 individuals: 78 (44.10%) males and 99 (55.90%) females. The mean age in the case group was 36.95±13.30 and in the control group was 21.34±12.60 years. The mean vitamin D levels had not significant difference between case (19.68±13.60) and control groups (21.34±12.60) (P>0.05).Conclusion: The findings of this study showed that there was no significant difference in vitamin D levels between the case group and the control group, which did not support the hypothesis that vitamin D deficiency is associated with psoriasis.

Introduction: The coronavirus epidemic has caused a lot of confusion and tension in the health, economic, and political systems of the world, and its impact on society has led the governments' policy to support the production of drugs and related vaccines, Therefore, this research was conducted to investigate the findings of vaccination of people infected with covid-19 hospitalized in Vasei Sabzevar Hospital in 2022.
Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted in the year 2022 at Sabzevar city. 3686 people were included in the study by available sampling method. Information was extracted from Sib system using a demographics questionnaire and checklist and analyzed with SPSS 26 software.
Results: The results showed that %64.7 people had not been vaccinated. The number of hospitalized unvaccinated people was about 1.8 times the number of vaccinated people. There was no significant difference between the number of hospitalized men and women according to the vaccination status (P=.38), although there was a significant difference in the age of people (P=.001). The frequency of diabetes was higher in the vaccinated population. There was no significant difference between the number of hospitalized men and women in terms of the number of doses received (p=0.23). Also, the mortality rate in non-vaccinated people was significantly higher and this difference was significant (P=0.017).
Conclusion: Vaccination reduces mortality and hospitalization rates, so encouraging this and proper planning to prepare vaccines in similar critical situations is recommended.

The aim of this study was determine the frequency of cognitive symptoms - Audio voice disorders in teachers in Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences 94-93.Materials and Methods: In this descriptive - Cross sectional analysis study, 85 teachers were enrolled after informed consent and two questionnaires concerning demographic information and voice handicap index (VHI) were completed. Then the sound of each individual was recorded during conversational speech and the implementation of the items in profile perceptually - Audio Voice, and was evaluated by two speech therapists. The data in the software SPSS (16) and with the help of descriptive and analytical statistics were analyzed.Findings: ATSHA test results showed 64.7% of the teachers had a voice disorder, severity was 28.75 ± 15.9. The most common problems included breathiness, abnormally resonance and hoarseness. VHI questionnaire results show: 81.17% of teachers in the aspects of physical, functional, emotional related to sound, were in trouble. Between teachers with and without voice disorders in VHI scores there was no significant difference (P= 0.23)Conclusion: The results of this study showed that the prevalence of symptoms of auditory- perceptual voice disorders In Teachers Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences is high. Thus, vocal hygiene and voice therapy is recommended for these people. Keywords: Voice disorders, frequency, Symptoms of auditory perceptual

Objectives Despite vaccination, rubella is still considered as a major disease and a threat to global health. According to evidence, approximately 100 000 cases of congenital rubella syndrome (CRS) occur annually in the world. The current study aimed at determining the immune status of rubella among female students of Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences, Sabzever, Iran. Methods In the current cross sectional study, 143 female students filled out the questionnaires focusing demographic and epidemiological properties (residency, history of rubella vaccine, history of rubella infection among him/herself and the family members). Then, after obtaining the informed consent, blood samples were obtained from the students, and anti-rubella IgM and IgG were measured by the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method. Data were analyzed by SPSS version 16, using descriptive statistical methods and Chi-square test. Results According to the results of the current study, 45.8% of the participants were from Sabzevar and the rest were from other cities of Iran; 3% of the students had not received rubella vaccine. Results obtained from ELISA test showed that all serum samples were negative for rubella-specific IgM. Also, 99.3% of the students had acceptable titers (>10 IU/mL) for the rubella-specific IgG.Conclusion The current study showed that the rubella immune status was quite satisfactory among the female students of Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences.

Background Toxoplasma gondii is an obligate intracellular protozoan parasite that infects all warm-blooded animals, including humans. Acute infection with Toxoplasma gondii in pregnant women frequently leads to congenital toxoplasmosis which may cause abortion or severe diseases such as premature birth, permanent neurological damage, and visual impairment in the baby. Serological survey in females before marriage can reveal immune status of them against toxoplasmosis. This research aimed to determine the anti-toxoplasma antibodies in female students of Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences, Sabzevar, Iran.Materials & Methods In this cross-sectional study, 137 blood samples were taken from female students that were randomly selected and used for the measurement of anti-toxoplasma antibodies by ELISA method. Using a researcher-designed questionnaire, information such as consuming grilled and undercooked meat, exposure to cats and residency status was collected. The data analysis was performed by Chi-square test using SPSS.Results The detected IgG antibodies in 18(13.1%) samples were significant, and no IgM antibody was found in the studied samples. There were no significant differences between infection and factors such as residency status (urban/rural), vegetables consumption, cat keeping, eating underdone and roasted meat (P>0.1).Conclusion The results of this study revealed that 86.9% of female students were seronegative and at high risk for acquiring infection, thus they should be educated to prevent contracting congenital toxoplasmosis during the period of pregnancy.
